Many CPA firms claim that they can provide top level service to any company in any industry, but we found that claim tough to achieve. So after 40 years we decided to limit the services provided to business valuations and ownership transitioning (also called succession planning and exit planning). And while we do have knowledge in many industries, we long ago learned when to pass on an opportunity. If we do pass on your opportunity, we will try to refer you to someone whom we believe will be able to meet your needs.
Our deep knowledge extends to the following industries:
Bob is a Certified Public Accountant with the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential. He also holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation and the Certified Exit Planner (CExP) designation.
Bob brings to the table a special blend of expertise beyond the usual scope of accounting with over 40 years of business experience ranging from the Fortune 500 to the Private 100, from starting and acquiring businesses to selling and closing businesses. While his clients have predominately been US based, he works regularly with internationally based clients.
Prior to becoming a CPA, Bob spent 15 years working in senior level management for Fortune 500 and Private 100 businesses negotiating labor agreements, managing employee compensation and benefits, safety and risk management, self funded health insurance plans, workers compensation programs, and corporate budgeting. He was also involved in the divestiture of production facilities and business segments.
As a CPA, Bob has served as the chief financial officer for a multi-state senior living facility company, the majority owner and CEO of a single state licensed life and disability insurance company and a related third party administration company.
Bob earned a Bachelor of Science in Labor Relations from Kansas State University in 1979 and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Arkansas in 1993. He qualified as a CPA in 1994, as a Chartered Global Management Accountant in 2011, and as a Certified Exit Planner (CExP) in 2014.
A true supporter of small business owners, he has twice been recognized by the Small Business Administration as the Accountant Advocate of the Year for his work with employers in the State of Arkansas.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Arkansas Society of CPA's, and the Business Enterprise Institute.
Bob has been a frequent presenter of continuing education courses in the areas of Senior Living Facilities, Accounting and Auditing and Exit Planning for the Northwest and the Western Chapters of the Arkansas Society of CPA's and for the University of Central Arkansas CPE program. He presented "Growth and Financing Strategies for Seniors Housing and Care: Rural Operators" at the National Investment Center Western Regional Symposium.
